Mary T. MacDonald, Founding Principal

MACCI Founder and Visionary Mary T. MacDonald
was drawn to hospitality design while studying at
Florida International University. Educated as a
hotelier and interior designer, and having honed
her skills at blue-chip design firms, she later
enhanced her professional perspective studying
entertainment architecture at Harvard University.

Recognizing a niche for a firm specializing exclusively in hospitality, and confident in the value of her perspective as hotelier and designer, she founded MACCI Design International in 1984. Since then, she and her colleagues have successfully completed more than 150 hotels, resorts, conference centers, restaurants and clubs throughout the United States and in Europe, Asia, Central America and the Caribbean. International design organizations have cited MACCI for its work 20 times over and Ms. MacDonald has been asked to address a variety of design forums.

“My design work has always been practiced with a keen eye toward the ongoing success of the project. I realized early in my career that design is the most important marketing tool we can offer. MACCI’s Experience Design philosophy is based on this tenet and our track record is proven.”
